Alan and SymphonyCare Announce a Voice-Enabled COVID-19 Triage Assessment Application

SUNNYVALE, Calif. and MADISON, Wis., June 17, 2020 — Alan AI and SymphonyCare today announced “Rapid Triage(tm),” a voice-enabled COVID-19 assessment application for healthcare organizations to engage patients with a better triage experience at home and alleviate the surge in clinics by routing them to the appropriate location for care.

The assessment application is the first of its kind with a voice assistant that makes it easier for patients to describe their symptoms using natural voice conversation. Providers can now quickly deliver timely instructions and appropriate guidance based on the patient’s assessed condition. Healthcare organizations can also customize Rapid Triage for other assessment needs.

“Early identification of COVID-19 symptoms is crucial and we were looking for ways to improve the patient experience while reducing the burden on care teams so they can focus on the cases that need immediate attention,” said Ravi Kalla, CEO of SymphonyCare. “While there are other assessment tools available, there’s nothing easier than using your voice as you would if you’re in front of the doctor.”

Rapid Triage joins SymphonyCare’s application offerings that include the ONC-certified Empower(tm) Patient Portal & Engagement Suite, the Empower Provider Engagement Portal and Navigate(tm), an award-winning population management suite.

SymphonyCare is an innovative healthcare data management company that partners with organizations looking to improve data quality and efficiency of care. The company’s flagship product, WellStack(tm) is an EMR-agnostic enterprise data warehouse that manages multiple data sources and provides a single source-of-truth to produce actionable analytics and drive patient engagement.

“Innovative solutions like the COVID-19 assessment tool are a paradigm of how voice will transform patient and clinical workflows of the healthcare industry by revolutionizing the user experience,” said Ramu Sunkara, CEO and co-founder of Alan AI. “Our cloud-based Voice Assistant Platform assessment survey can be customized to collect the necessary data they need to make informed decisions.”

Alan is a leading Enterprise Voice AI platform, which offers the ability to add a multimodal voice assistant with a required workflow to any existing web or mobile application in various industries including Healthcare, Oil&Gas, Utilities, E-Commerce, and Hospitality. The platform offers developers the freedom to add conversational voice to applications without having to do any cloud or AI work, making it easy to build and deploy in a matter of days. The company’s aim is to democratize voice as the interface for all applications and offer a contactless user experience for today’s frontline workers and tomorrow’s “new normal” society.
